Some colleges and universities in Canada can assess your educational andprofessional credentials. In other cases, you’ll need to use a fee-based assessmentservice in Canada. Which of these apply to you depends
on the institute you choose.
These assessment are usually carried out by - The Alliance of Credential Evaluation Servicesof Canada or the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials set up by theCouncil of Ministers of
Education, Canada.
Step 2
Exams and Tests
Prepare for entrance exams: prepare for the standardised tests such asTOEFL/GRE/GMAT/IELTS etc., based on the requirements of the universities and colleges.
Register for these tests in advance. While applying for the tests you should also plan for thetime required in case you need to retake the test.
You should complete these tests before September of the year in which you wish to apply.

Ensure that you have the money ready for your entire period of study in Canada along with accommodation, local travel, food and other miscellaneous expenses.
Decide on how you will finance your studies – personal savings, educational loans, student scholarships or assistantships.

Apply to university
Every university has its own admission requirements. Complete the applications well before the deadlines and send them.
Once you receive your acceptance letters from the universities you have applied to, choose the university where you would like to study.
The next step is to pay a non-refundable deposit to the university to confirm your admission.
Step 5
Study Permit
Before you apply for a study permit, you will need: a). A letter of acceptance from a designated learning institution (DLI). b). A valid passport or travel document.
Further you will need attested copies of 10th, 12th and Degree certificates, academic references – two and/or employer references – two, an SOP (Statement of Purpose), an acceptance letter from your educational
institution and proof of payment.
